The Wonderful World of Woody Comes to the Kids’ Activity Area |
An exciting addition to this year’s Hanover Harvest Festival on Saturday, August 2 will be “The Wonderful World of Woody”. Performer Tom Strohmyer will entertain young and old alike with his interactive audience participation in magic, juggling, humor and music. Sponsored by the ECFE (Early Childhood Family Education) within the Buffalo-Hanover-Montrose school district, Strohmyer will be located in Settler’s Park within the Kids’ Activity Area. His show begins at 12:30 p.m. The Kids’ Activity Area opens at noon and runs until 5 p.m. Tickets are 50 cents per game. Some of this year’s exciting larger games will be the Bungee Challenge; two opponents run in opposite directions trying to shoot baskets while attached to bungee cords!; the moonwalk for the younger ones, electronic basketball and the Small Hi Striker (swing the maul and try to ring the bell). Carnival games include Ball Bounce, bean bag toss, Flip the Frog, the Prize is Right, Roller Bowler, Star Dart, Tip the Cat and Plinko. In addition, a face painter/balloon shaper will also be in the Kids’ Activity area. And for those of you who loved the wacky hair look, it’s back too. Sounds like a fun lineup of activities for youngsters and the pre-teen group. And parents, while the kids take over the Kids’ Activity area, why don’t you wander over to the flea market and farmer’s market and check things out there. The mission of the Hanover Harvest Festival is to promote a sense of community by bridging the best of the past with a vision for the future. |
