It’s become a rivalry! Area fire departments will go head to head again for top honors of the year as part of this summer’s Hanover Harvest Festival’s Fire Department Waterball Contest on Saturday, August 4. Don’t miss the outrageous action to see who comes out first this year!

Not familiar with the contest? Well, here’s how it works. Two teams stand on opposite ends of a barrel that is suspended 30 feet high in the air from a wire. The teams use their hoses to push the barrel to the opposite side.

The waterball contest begins at 2 p.m. at Settler’s Park, and promises plenty of excitement amid spraying water.
