Hanover Harvest Festival

Hanover Harvest Festival is Heating Up!

Hanover is heating up for its fourth annual Hanover Harvest Festival! The good times begin on Friday evening (August 1 st) this year! Join other spectators at Creekside Tavern, across the street from the Post Office, as the Hanover Idol contest kicks off at 6 p.m. Contestants will perform outside on the stage.

Saturday, August 2 nd is the big day with a full slate of activities/events lined up to keep you entertained from (almost) sunrise until the cows come home (or thereabouts). This is the big family celebration of the summer – low cost and high levels of fun – for all ages. Most activities/venues are located at City Hall/Settler’s Park this year.

The farmer’s market, flea market and craft expo kick off the day’s events at 8 a.m. Activities, demonstrations, food vendors, beer garden, music, and much more are scheduled all day long and into the evening. A range of activities, including minnow races, wellness van, Rock Band, 5K run, fire department water ball fight, kids’ activity area, parade, pie eating contest, street dance, bingo, raffle, and a pork chop dinner are just a sampling of what’s happening. There’s something for every age and interest level!

Raffle tickets are on sale at Tom Thumb, BankWest, River Inn, Hilltop Bar, Creekside Tavern and from all festival committee members. Chances to win continue right up until the 9 p.m. drawing when the winners will be announced on the main stage at Settler’s Park. This year’s hot prizes are a John Deere lawn tractor, homemade playhouse, two garden benches, and a kid’s pedal airplane. Festival logo merchandise will be on sale throughout the day at Settler’s Park.

So plan to spend all day with family and friends celebrating our community the best way we can – by enjoying the Hanover Harvest Festival. Activity flyers will be available at the information booths with a lineup and times of what’s happening.

The mission of the Hanover Harvest Festival is to create a sense of community by bridging the best of the past with a vision of the future.
